Not here
Not there
Having left
Not having arrived
Liminal, a place in flux
What is before
Will be after
Finding me here once again

For the thoughts, for the hope – my sincere thanks. All is well on this end tonight. Change is good.

And I turn up yet again in my old familiar spot, much to catch-up.
But first – please save the date, if you would, Monday, July 22, for thoughts and good wishes to my small family.
A custody trial put off from February to March, from March to April, from April to May, May to June — and finally to July. Many dates passed, many hopes dashed. Here is hoping this one counts.
Thank you so very much.

The time has come the Walrus said, to talk of many things…
Not here, but there, and further still
where there are fewer strings.
So meet me there at half past moon and we shall speak again
And if you chance this place, and none be here, just call for me once more.

On Walkabout a thousand dried worms died where they dropped. Curled, straight, twisted and dead.
Escaping rain, the worms apparently sought higher, drier ground on the road. Rain subsided, leaving them to desiccate in place.
Be careful what you ask for.

What is not to love about a comet?
Check out comet PanSTARRS this month, thought to be fresh from the Oort cloud and skittling through this neck of the woods for the first time. The Oort cloud is nursery of sorts, theorized to lie just beyond our solar system, that gives rise to long-period comets like Hale-Bopp and Halley’s.
We saw PanSTARRS last night and it was thrilling, hanging in the sunset. Once hoped to be a naked-eye event, binoculars are best here, it was a beauty.
Stars and astronomical phenomena are always a wonderful reminder of all that lies beyond us. Comet PanSTARRS is passing through, just like us. Happy viewing.

The long-waited custody trial date in our case was bumped by another custody trial scheduled for the same time. Approximately 80 percent of all legal matters settle short of trial, in this case neither did.
April 22 will see us again gathered in Courtroom 2B. Despite the delay in resolution, there was positive action. My children were given a chance to speak with the Judge, another long-sought opportunity, and appointed their own legal counsel, a guardian ad litem, to ensure their voices are heard during upcoming proceedings.
Sometimes a great deal of change occurs even when it appears you are standing still. Voice is good.
Save the date — April 22.

Just about two years ago a court proceeding yielded an arrangement I hoped would work for my small family. Peace and stability did not ensue and tomorrow (Monday) at 1:30 PM another trial will revisit this old issue.
I now have hopes to come up with a different arrangement that will relieve this turmoil and finally allow us to take a positive step forward.
Asking again, as always, for you to hold us in heart and thought and save the date for me and my children.
